I was a workaholic Mom suffering from guilt and realizing that time was slipping away and I would never get it back. When it hurt more to stay the same than to make a change, I turned to travel as a way to unplug, reconnect with my family in a meaningful way and build lasting memories. This changed our lives and I began time blocking my calendar with family travel and prioritizing it. From the start, I used a luxury travel advisor because I understood the value of leveraging my time to someone who had an in-depth knowledge of the luxury travel space and could provide me with a perfectly tailored itinerary. I wanted a personal connection to someone who would truly listen to me - someone who could make my dreams a reality. Now that person is me.
Some of my earliest memories of sleeping on a make-shift bed on the floor of a plane. We traveled frequently between two homes. One on Via Condotti in Rome and the other in Westchester County, New York. My father worked hard and played hard. Travel was always a way for our family to bond together. They loved exposing us to the world, whether it was castle stays with noble families or beach vacations in the Caribbean. We spent every Christmas and New Year in Acapulco in the 70s, attending socialite parties and making friends from around the globe. Travel and luxury were ingrained in our lifestyle and I loved every minute of it.
